The project objective is to modify the desulphurization plant to produce diesel with low sulfur content and increase capacity by 12%. The study will require a staff of 25 people and will be completed this summer. The option is planned to be exercised late September 2014.
The contract includes FEED and options for detailed engineering, procurement and construction management assistance (EPCMA) for the modification of Unit 800 at the Mongstad refinery.
The work is to be performed by REINERTSEN's Gothenburg office with Hans-Einar Forsberg as project manager, and the project team has long experience from refinery projects in Sweden. With this project REINERTSEN is involved in three projects at Mongstad: Vestprosess Capacity upgrade, receiving facilities for Johan Sverdrup and now the Unit 800 Revamp.
